Co  Signers of Investigate the AIG Bill

Many people believe AIG has made a mockery of the financial system and should be investigated and penalized for their role in the financial crisis that nearly collapsed the world economy. AIG an insurance provider over extended itself to the point where it could not afford the payments that were imminent during the collapse of the financial system.

Since they were one of the causes of the crisis, should they be bailed out?

In a free market environment AIG would have had to declare bankruptcy, but in the current environment, no matter how much the US claims that the system is a market system. Would a regular business be bailed out if they were facing imminent bankruptcy from their own decisions and mistakes.

We hope the financial reform bills passed congress will state as law that companies involved in their own demise will not be funded by tax payers.
